Default Copy Pocket MSN from old Q?

I have the old school silver Q and just got a Q9M. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can just copy the Pocket MSN program file from the old Q to the new Q?

I tried to look for the program but I have no idea where they stored it. Has anyone tried this or know where the program folder is so I can try it and tell everyone if it works....?

Thanks.

I don't think there is a very easy way to copy PocketMSN over from the Q; BUT there is a file available that will install Windows Live (basically the updated version of PocketMSN) on the Q9m. (this is basically the file that Verizon stripped out). It will give you MSN/Live Messenger and Push email from your Hotmail/Live account.

I did find this

http://blogs.conchango.com/jamiethom...ur-mobile.aspx

Unfortunately there seems to be a little foible with it. When I went there I saw the same screen that I would have seen had I gone there yesterday. I don't know why, maybe its cached on my phone or something. Anyway, the trick to getting this working is as follows:
  1. Go to http://mobile.live.com/GoLive/ from your desktop computer
  2. Click "Messenger beta"
  3. Click the "Send To Mobile" link
You'll receive a text message with a link that you can open to start using the service.

Did you install PocketMSN or Windows Live? I've installed the Windows Live linked to above and it is working great on my Q9m. I have push Hotmail, and and Live Messenger working fine.

The one problem that people seem to run into with Windows Live is an issue with Contacts from Live Messenger merging into the Outlook Contacts, there are different versions floating around that treat the merging differently.

The file I've been using is WindowsLive.SP.v10.6.30.2100.zip

I believe the Messenger Beta mentioned above is a program that doesn't install on your phone, but is run by clicking on the link in Internet Explorer.
