O.k first off verizon has released the q9c on there network on thier site its named q9c and there is no q9m the q9c is white with ZVWNav on it but when ever i see in shops or in corporate stores or even on tv i see the new white q9 but they call it a q9m? so what is with this situation has the q9m been replaced with a new white version with VZWnavigator on it and is navigator the only upgrade? wiill the GPS for the vzwnavigator work for WLS or Google Maps and other such application
2 have they still not found a way to get native gps working on the red and black q9m's? modaco has a smartphone gps activator out thats supposeed to do exactly this but i tried all 3 version coom 3,4,and 5 none worked for verizon q9m would this work for verizon q9c? or is the release of the new q9 on verizon a tell that the red and black q9m never did have native gps... the reason i ask is that the ##* command brings you to a gps section where u can choose the ip for gps and comm slot also in setting phone info newtwork there a gps section to set it to either 911 or location on... but maybe these settings are just part of windows mobile and not the phone?
no, the GPS in Verizon's Q9c is locked to VZ Navigator. Basically the Q9m and the Q9c are the same phone, the Q9c just doesn't have the "music crap" (as n99hockey puts it) And AFAIK noone has figured out how to activate the GPS in the Q9m either.
