Cannot ActiveSync with USB Cable

I just bought a Moto Q Sprint and i am having trouble syncing with PC. I installed version 4.5 and when i connect the phone it appears in network connection and says its connected and i see network traffic and also the phone charges when connected to pc with USB cable yet ActiveSync software doesn't recognize the phone. I tried all steps to install/uninstall and restart the pc and phone yet no luck. Please help.

My PC
XP Media Center SP2
ActiveSync Version 4.5

some where in th setings there is a setting for the connection for sync or while in a cradle. see if it says USB. or try other USB ports. I have 4 on my pc and only 2 work for me.

I was using the ports in the front but when i tried the ports in the back it works.

Damn it its happening again. After first time everything worked i transferred some wallpapers and ringtones and then left the connection on and it disconnected it by itself and now when i try to connect again it doesn't work. None of the USB posr work now.

Please help.
