Question Can the 2.5 mm headset jack also be an audio headphone jack?

Getting my Q 9m today!

If I'm going to put music on it, it would be nice if I could listen through my car's tape deck adapter (w/ a 1/8th inch headphone connector). Is there any way to just grab the audio signal from the headset jack and split it into headphones? I know the audio signal coming from the headset is mono, so I don't know if that would affect the sound quality much.

I looked up bluetooth car kits for this purpose and it looked like $80-$100 . Anyone know of any cheaper solutions?

Thanks!

Please search, you can buy a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter for like $10.00.

actually you might want to be careful of the adapters....some of them dont work well and only play sound out of one ear

As long as the adapter goes from 2.5mm 4 conductor (stereo + mic + common) to 3.5mm 3 conductor (stereo + common) you should be allright.

I use this set up in my car, sounds great... just make sure the phone's sound is turned all the way up.
