Default Calling problems :(

Heya everyone!

Every so often (about once a day, sometimes more), when I try to make a call, I get an error message. Something to the effect of "Cannot complete call". The error message is longer, but it doesn't really give any info - just a "check to make sure you have signal" type message.

No matter how many times I try, the message keeps popping up (when it happens), and it's immediate - as SOON as it tries to make the call, the message pops up.

But turning the phone off and then back on fixes the problem every time. Anyone have this happen to them? And if so, is there a fix?

Take care,
Rob

Are you running any downloaded software that keeps an internet connection up (like an email program)? I ask because I had this problem too when I was using an old version of the "Windows Live" program to access Hotmail. Since I've upgraded to the new one, the problem has gone away. There was something in the old program that was interfering at times with my ability to place voice calls (and vice versa - voice calls often would cause the email program not to connect again until a reset).

Anyway, you might try disabling any downloaded software you have for a day and see if the problem goes away. If it does, you can isolate the culprit and remove or upgrade it. Just a thought based on my experience with the issue.
