Well apparently it won't be released in July either. Anyone wanna bet there's an update from "Global Ops" promising a release in August?

I don't mean to sound like an a**hole since I am affected by this lack of update as well, but I very highly doubt they will ever give us the update and will effectively give us the f*** off. It pisses me off, but realistically they are giving us the runaround without any realistic hope of the release.

If I am cynical, pessimistic, or wrong, I am sorry but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I have pretty much given up already so I won't be further disappointed. At the moment my Q is an expensive paper weight piece of crap that won't sync, so I am not a happy camper anyway. I seriously miss my HP which in 3 years never once gave me shit but this so called more superior machine has been nothing but a hassle.

Is there no way to force them to release it since it was in fact made for our phone and has already been announced. Wouldn't that be false advertisement?

Simple answer, NO, the long one, MAYBE. Just because the OS Developer (M$) or device maker Motorola release an update does not require or make bound the carrier, in my case AT&T, to release it to its customer. For them its motivated by money, strategy or whatever and it seems that it does not involve releasing it. Too bad.

Hasn't AT&T made a statement that it was going to be released for us? Aren't we the only one that has the Q Global or Q9h? How are they going to say it was for us and then not release it, it just doesn't make sense.

They say alot of things but keeping promises don't seem to be on the list. They have been giving us "dates" for a very long time and nothing, so you tell me. This way they keep people off their ass until they decide to blow us off and say we are not going to do it or decide hell we want to push new models with it on there but we'll throw them a bone so they don't have to upgrade, which is their primary goal.

Pretty sure if we really wanted it and we had solid evidence they were supposed to give it to us, we could make a lawsuit. Not sure if that's worth it or if anyone would want to go that route.

Bad enough that Microsoft doesn't know what to do with the OS.
once again at&t runs it in and breaks it off. but as soon as new Q's out this one's having an accident. Damn this perfect peice of hardware and it lack of an upgrade!

That's the problem. For us regular folks action like that is a hassle. We have to work, pay bills, we have life to deal with. They have public relations and lawyers.
I'll tell you this...if we get shafted on this I will make it a point to join AT&T's official forums and bring it up as often as possible.
Petty? yes but hopefully the message reaches some people and creates some sort of stir. Bitch about this enough to those review sites and people take notice.

in spirit, I agree with you. however, the law is not as cut and dry as that in this regard. believe it or not, promise or not, from a purely legal perspective, not an ethical one, not a damn thing will happen to them. that's why I hate large corporations, they have so much bullshit out there to protect them because they make the government money and so they have so many holes built in for them that the FTC will never lift a finger to prosecute, FCC is too busy censoring bullshit to care and the politicians are paid to look the other way. leaves consumers up shit creek with no paddle and if we want to paddle, we have to get covered in shit to do it. sorry for the bad metaphor but you get it.
