I know its AT&T and that's why we are pissed, no one said it was Moto.

I will check this link but I think we established before this was a dummy place holder file. We'll see, I am downloading now and will confirm if they actually updated it with real files or not.

EDIT:
I tried to install it to see if it is a legit update or not, I am running on a x64 and the setup file is designed for everything EXCEPT x64, so someone else needs to test this and find out if its legit. I currently don't have the time to setup my phone with a 32 bit machine just for the sake of testing this file which will probably still be a dummy file. Sorry and thanks in advance to whoever takes one for the team to test it.

Actually... the link he provided was an updated that moto released... he/she was asking what it was for.

So... thanks?

The link he provided clearly indicates that its an update for AT&T, which would normally be fine since they can have released for others on their site. However, they are only valid when they are approved by the provider. Since AT&T claims it has not yet released it, if ever they do, that leads to confusion. So we are trying to verify what we already knew was there for months, a dummy file or not.

Again, explained already ....so...you are welcome?

Not the update. Downloaded, and checked. Although I knew that before I downloaded the file. 6 megs was the size. Thats the size of the app, no firmware in it. The old Verizon one was like in the double digits.

Default No release date

Just got off the phone with AT&T. Had them check with technical support and no release date has been planned for WM 6.1.

She said just keep checking and when it is released it will be on the website.

So that pretty much sucks.

Have a great weekend!

Thanks for checking but this is the same shine off bullshit they have been telling us for months and months now, oh well. We will just have to wait and see if they EVER release it for us since they have it on new hardware they would much rather push.

It's amazing how lousy AT&T treats it's customers.
Maybe because there isnt a huge demand for WinMo 6.1 amongst 'normal' users?
Bad enough that Microsoft doesn't know what to do with the OS.
