Ok, I installed Vito copy/paste and HookMgr... Now, after a fresh restart, i find things in my task manager that were never there. There will be things like ""22a0c1fa" (1.8kb big) and "83490fce" (1.5kb big). The numbers and letter change around on each restart, and they stay small as fr as kb size goes. Now, I have auto keylock starting up automatically, but I have NEVER seen these files with that. When i disable VITO, and restart - the weird files are still there. The only thing I can think of is the HookMgr. But as I stated in another post, i don't see how to uninstall that.... Anyone have a clue?
Now that I think of it, I have AutoKeylock in the startup menu, and since I installed HookMgr, autokeylock doesn't start like it used to -- and since HookMgr is supposed to cause some hook apps to stop working, I bet that is what's happening... I think.... *sigh*
**edit** ok -- it wasn't showing up in my remove program section of the Q, so I used the add/remove in Active sync, found HookMgr and got rid of it... problem solved!
Thanks for reading about me answering my own question!
