My issue was because I had http automatically redirected to https for my webmail. This affected the ability to sync over the air with active sync. I do not understand why either as my phone had the root cert already installed. I am guessing the thumbprints and such were not matching or it had something to do with the cert being from Equifax. I had already followed that kb article in order to get our oma working. The activesync still had an issue after that. Thanks for the link though.
