Default Still cant edit the registry on my Q9h

I know there are many posts spread out through the forum, and ive tried to read them all but I still cant get into the registry of my phone.

Does anyone have specific instructions on how to do it on a QH9?
I downloaded pHM and neither the desktop (vista) or cab file would work. The cab game me an error saying its not made for my phone. The desktop one just installs but a dialog window comes up asking if I want to remove programs from my phone, which is odd. I cant find PHM install on my phone anywhere.

SOrry for the newbness! I do have Mobile Center installed and my phone connects to my vista laptop, and I can view files, etc. I just cant edit the registry.

Do I need to buy REsco? if I buy and instll that, will I need to "unlock" the phone as well?

I hope this pos can help other newbs trying to get into the q9h registry.

when i just got the Q i used PHM and it installed on the pc, and i had to manually copy the correct .cab file from the pc to the Q and execute it from there, check out this post.

Resco will not unlock your phone, do you know for a fact that the Q is locked ?

cool.... and technically they are not called folders, and i believe if you are able to install 3rd party software the Q is most likely not locked.

Im having trouble with the startup and shut off sounds. WHen I get to the right registry place, I dont see the "piano" file, the default value is already *none*, which is odd, because there clearly is a sound when I shut off and turn on. Any differences in the Q9H?

i am not sure... is it sorta the same as the Q9c ? maybe you should check the Q9c hack thread..

yesterday while traveling i changed the start-up sound by memory (my memory :]) and just changed piano.wav to * and now it plays the "error" sound when i boot :}

I think the Q9H is different, because the default value is *none* but its obvioulsy still pulling the annoying sound from somewhere!
