SMS Alert & BlueTooth

Hi

Just got my Q9H for a week. Have a "stupid" question. Need help.

I noticed that when I have my BT headset connected, when a new SMS text message comes in, the phone itself does not sound, only through the BT headset. If I'm not wearing the headset, I won't know there is new text msg unless I look at the screen.

Incoming phone calls will ring both through the phone and the headset.
How can I make the phone itself beeps when a text msg comes in?

There was another thread about this, and after testing, we came to the conclusion that there is no actual way to change that. Someone even emailed Motorola and got a response, and they said they programmed it that way because of the feedback they had received from customers.

Normally, I like this feature.

BUT, last saturday i was outside my car (audi A3 which its bluetooth works perfect with the q9h, btw), and i had the phone in my pocket and someone in the car listening to the radio. The phone didn't ring because i was 30' from the car....and the car rang (the q9h plays the same ringtone over bluetooth)...which i didn't hear. Damn you, strong bluetooth!

you can disable this, because by default, system notification & audio are channelled to bluetooth handsfree if it's connected. go to bluetooth manager, select setting and click on advance properties/setting, untick the option that says 'system notification and audio playback'

PS: the wording of the menu/command may not be correct as I'm just recollecting my memories instead of referencing them directly off from the phone. point is this can be disabled.
