Another strange thing is When I go to main menu>system tools>memory manager I can fully view the card, it says storage 7.60GB, free 7.60GB. But when I go to Main Menu>My stuff>Storage card, it says "No storage Card Found". This is also true of the 2GB card. Is my Q defective or something?
Since the memory manager recognizes how much storage space the sd card has, doesn't that mean that it's already formated? Why don't you try transferring a file such as an mp3. Then use file manger to open the file. If it opens then everything is good. Just being able to transfer a file into the card should mean it's formatted.

Yes it would format correctly. But it should be formatted already.

And you need a Bluetooth manager app if you want to manage where you save files. If not, they will automatically save to my documents.

PM/email me if you want a Bluetooth manager app that will make your default "save to" location be your storage card.

I'll email you the app I have on my Q.

Yes it does mean that it is formatted.

Since we are on the subject of storage, can anyone tell me how to get Outlook to save all the attachments on the SD by default?

I've never found such a way. Let me know if you do though. That would rock.

Yup, I can

I did this on my Q9 Global with AT&T and it works perfectly!!!

** MOVE EMAIL & ATTACHMENTS TO STORAGE CARD **

Updated for Windows Mobile 6!
1) Using the file manager in activesync, create the following folders on your Storage Card.

\MAPI
\MAPI\ATTACHMENTS

You can actually name them whatever you want, "Inbox" for example.

2) Now browse to \Windows\Messaging (SmartPhone)

If you want to save all of your existing mail, move everything in this directory to the new ones on your Storage Card.

3) Now fire up your registry editor and navigate to the following.

For WM5 Phones: [ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI ]
For WM6 Phones: [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings ]

Then create the following STRING VALUES:

Name: AttachPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI\Attachments

Name: PropertyPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI

4) Reboot your phone and then goto your inbox. If you can see all of your mail then mission accomplished. Double check your attachments as well.
