The Q9h is compatible with both sd and sdhc. I believe anything 4gb and over is considered SDHC; HC stands for high capacity. The link below is from motorola and lists compatabilities. It states that 6gb is the max guranteed to work in Q9h's. But as you have read from prevoious posts others have succesfully used 8gb cards.
