Question ROM apps vs purhased version of same

First posting - I have searched and found that ROM apps are not removable, but I still need help with a related issue. My Moto Q9h came with MyCast Weather preinstalled in ROM (appearantly) I tried it, liked it and purchased it. Now I need to get rid of the .exe link and icon that is in the start menu. I've had to map purchased the java app to a shortcut key to get to it easier. Is there any way to resolve this issue? The ROM app is now timed out and I would like to move that link permanently out of the menu.

ROM apps are not removable... but they are changable All ROM apps are in Windows folder. So take any other app installed in Programm Files folder, copy all the files from that folder to PC and rename tht *EXE file into MyCast Weather.exe and simplly put all the coppied stuff into Windows folder using Active Sync. When U are asked smth by ActiveSync say YES. That's all. Use your new programm!
(I used this method to change Windows File Manager into RESCO Explorer)

Well Thanks very much Max. I was beginning to despair of getting a reply at all. I think that I follow what you said and I will give it a try. Much appreciated.
