Default Ringtones

So i have a Moto q9h from cingular. I have made my bit rate for my ringtones under 299, and i have put them in the sounds folder. I have used wma, wav and mp3 andd none seem to work. I have scoured this forum for how-to's and none seem to work. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. Do i need to get my phone unlocked before i can do this?

the files should work, just make sure you are selecting "done" and not hitting the back or home button.

Just remove the FileSizeLimitation and you can use whatever you want. I posted a thread about it earlier. Simple process you can do ad it will eliminate all the trouble your having.

you dont have a size limitation for ringtones....
before i cut my mp3 i used it t full size 3mb

the limitation will work if you were to send a larger than 300 kb image/sound

Put them in My Documents -> My Ringtones, not the Sounds folder. Also make sure they are less than 299kb if you haven't made the registry change.

You do have a size limitation for ringtones on the Q9H. Motorola says 600kb....AT&T says 299kb.
