I was able to remove the filesize limit and use ringtones that I would like. However I can't select any of the mp3's in the My Ringtones folder for Text messages. When I try to select the sound options it just shows files that came with the phone, none of the mp3's that I have put in the My Ringtones folder.

Is there any reason I can't see these files for text message tone? Is there any way to fix this?

Not sure of an answer here for you, but just be aware that text and email tones play all the way through...there is no way to stop them from playing so you may want to rethink assigning a long file to these. (Which may solve your problem, after all!)

Yeah, the tone I'm planning on using is 1-2 seconds long so thats not an issue. I think I remember being able to pick an mp3 earlier but now none of them will show up.

I can not seem to find this registry to expand the filesize for ringtones.

Can someone please send a private message with step by step instructions as to where I need to go on my phone to unlock the size restriction. Also, if I possibly need to download a program, any suggestions are more than welcomed.

Thanks.
