removing Opera - Motorola Q Forum

I removed the folder Opera from /root/application Data/ are there or how wold i find any registery entries pointing to opera? I have done the hack to make IE work on the internet soft key but ... for example: i got to games and then then get games and nothing happens. It seems this icon is associated with opera. Is it possible to edit the .xml file of the get games icon?

sounds like you may have messed up some file assocoiations.. not the best idea to remove software without knowing the consiquenses <sp?>

If Opera was installed in the ROM like with my Q9h.

The one all be it painful solution is to reset you phone back to factory configuration and reinstall everything.

yeah i just got the phone so nothing was on it. Master reset brought the phone to stock, I found a way to remove opera and associate inet shorts cuts to IE but is a long process. Technialy Opera is still install, but Opera folder is removed one thing is dont use it before you decide to "uninstall it, it writes items to the registry. Its nice to know i can experiment on this phone to take what i can learn form these forms
