Default Q9h Wifi Real(Released in 4th Quarter of '08)

I'm not here to give you a new Locked Thread based on previous "WiFi Q9h Threads" I'm simply just trying to tell you that the q9h is receiving the 6.1 update in the 4th Quarter of 2008.

My sources was that of an CraigList Ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ele/637684731.html

I contacted the seller personally and he stated this via E-mail: "Windows Mobile 6.1 came installed from the factory. I have WM 6.1 because I got the handset from microsoft directly"

So there you have it

How do you know the seller is credible?

Why does the title say WiFi ?

If there is a firmware update and I am with Rogers so who knows?? Any phone without WiFi today will not have WiFi after an upgrade.

yeah the topic title is way misleading, damn near snorted coffee through nose in glee a bit ago

technician, that HTC mobile did infact have gps activated/unlocked after an update, so it is possible in theory. i just hope it's possible in our case.

i'm on my Q atm, they have a video of the new OS in action at mobile burn, i'll post the link later, it shows a blackjack II running it. just the updated homescreen interface has me pumped for this update.

There will be a phone released with a WiFi chip in it but the phones we have today do not have the hardware.

I talked to dozens of people at Motorola and there is no dormant WiFi IC. Now maybe everybody I asked were wrong.

I hope so.

It is. Maybe they won't start packaging the update with phones until fall, however, its not like AT&T to lag that far behind. Trust me, I have it on good authority from 2 seperate data level 3 techs that its due 2nd quarter. They're about as close as you're going to get as official, its what they do/ are interested in. Now, it could be delayed, but lets hope not.

Who knows how he got it, but hes probably saying its not coming out until way later because it helps his selling point of saying you're getting a cool, unreleased device.

And I still believe the Q9h has Wi-Fi. If not, I'm going to complain my arse off.

Lightbulb Wifi is in the Q

I'm not sure how else to say this, so I'll try it the easy way. I messed around with the settings in my phone's proxy/GPRS and was able to bounce a signal off of my wireless router. The phone had no way of going through the data plan because I had removed those options from the afore mentioned lists. The Q9h has wifi capabilities even if somewhere in the registry it is being disabled and we just haven't found out which one to change yet. Maybe I need to post a video for you to believe me. Might do that tomorrow after work.
