The Q9h has wifi capabilities even if somewhere in the registry it is being disabled and we just haven't found out which one to change yet. Maybe I need to post a video for you to believe me. Might do that tomorrow after work.
While I'm not saying I don't believe you, I tried the settings you posted, and it did not work for me.

From what I've heard, some phone already got the update. (such as some HTC) hopefully should not be too long before the Q9h gets it. Heard by ending May, not so sure about that though. ----from Q

No, that was the problem. I bounced it of the router but I got the router's error message. I got stuck there because I don't know that much about networking.

I couldn't even get it to bounce off my router. As in, nothing.

Something I also found that makes me wonder about hidden WIFI capabilities is the options for Windows Media on CV(at&t). If you go options then to network, you can select a connection speed of "WIFI/LAN 1.0 Mbps or faster". I am a little ignorant in networking but why would that be on there if it didn't have wifi capabilities? Anyone want to share their thoughts?

At&T's Moto Q Global does have WIFI capabilities.
There are talks that it will be enables with the WM 6.1 update.

I think it refers a bit more to connecting through a LAN line, or a Wifi routed line, to use the internet, like from your comp. I use my FiOs connection to surf the web on my phone whenever I can. I think because so many people understand "WiFi" but not LAN, they use that term first, or to denote, home internet, in broad terms. So I don't necessarily think that it means it has it, but its a bit interesting to say the least. Piques my interest just the same.

It's probably just a "generic" option. Just like how skype has the option to use Wifi or 3G.
