Q9H - Video recorder cannot be accessed

I can access and use the camera, however everytime I click on menu video recorder it kicks me back out to the pictures folder. No matter how many times I try, I just cannot access the video recorder. I was when I first got the phone, however between then and now somethng has caused the video recorder not to be accesible. I have not modified my phone in any way.
If anyone has a clue, let me know.
