Favorite Q9H keeps changing the time on me by 1hr!

Since last week, it appears that Activesyncing keeps throwing my times - the phone clock as well as appointments/reminders off by an hour. Seems that the DST changes is throwing this off?

Anyone else have this problem?

No, I haven't. Or, I haven't noticed. Actually no, I just checked.

Try unchecking the automatic settings in your phone, so it doesn't auto-update. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Or, you could try searching around in Outlook (or whatever PIM you use) and uncheck any auto-DST settings. Had to do that with my car's Navi unit.

You have Automatic Time Zone update enabled and it is not correctly detecting your time zone.

Go to:
Settings > (1)Phone > (7)More... > (3) Auto Update Clock
KEEP - Clock Update: Automatic
CHANGE - Time Zone Update: Manual

This isn't a "fix", it is a "work around". Why would I want to give up the ability to automatically update time zones when I travel.

I found my Q9h off one hour for no reason on Saturday.

Funny thing is I can not find the menu for Automatic/Manual clock updating.

Strange.

I don't know anything about the Q9h, but on my Q, it is:
Start/Settings/More/More/Phone Settings/Clock & Time Zone
Setting the time zone update to manual will keep it from changing.
However, for the record, I AM STILL NOT HAPPY WITH THIS SOLUTION!

Good Luck!

Have you tried setting it to automatic now ???? If it was programmed for the old time zone update schedule, I believe the normal date was this past weekend, I think. So if its using a calendar schedule, then it should be right. I would check if I was you.

I have tried it almost every day for the past two weeks as I get passed around to different tech support people. The most recent was this morning.

Latest Update: This morning, I conference called Motorola Level IV tech support with USCC DTS team and let the two of them discuss it directly. Sure removed a lot of the "buck passing" with both parties on the line! The USCC tech pulled a brand new phone off the shelf, set it the same way mine is and had the correct time zone. They now think it may be a problem with the network settings in my account. Would be sweet if that is what it is, but not sure why it has been good since last August (no problems with DST in November) and all of a sudden it changed.

Thanks to all for the helpful suggestions. Keep them coming and we will follow this one to the ground together.

This is always the first place the techs want to go, but I keep trying to explain that the appointment time mismatches are just a symption, not the problem. The problem is that my phone thinks it is in the
Eastern time zone with the correct Central time. Just to prove the point to the tech rep last week, I did a master reset (had backup of files ) and had the same problem. I then redownloaded the DST patch and still had the same problem. This severed all links to my PC and messaging service and the only communications were to the tower. It has to either be in the phone or in the tower network.
