Default Q9 is dead!

i have a engineering Q9 with windows mobile 5.0

i use it for a little days,everything is ok

but today,when i power the phone,it shows on the screen:

This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers.
To obtain a newer release or further info, please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release.

because the screen is full of the messeng,and it can't get off,so i can't ues the phone.

press Z+E,hardreset,the screen shows the same

press *+#,it shows:INFO: FLASH MODE SELECTED,i try to use the RSD to flash a new ROM,but it can't helpful.the RSD shows:

Failed flashing process: Error verifying subscriber unit info:Chipset type does not match (0x460705A)

it is a Vodafone Q9,i think the engineering Q9 need some other tools to flash,not the RSD 3.7.

anyone can help me?

Member (different nic, but same person I believe) has posted this problem at www.maximus.ws.
I have two reasons to suspect that this phone is now a "brick".
1. Windows Mobile 5 ( not 6) would confirm pre-production device.
2. "Chipset..." error message. Don't think we can overcome hardware issue.

you will be hard pressed to find/cook a ROM to work with a funky non standard chipset.

...on the bright side you may have a collector's item one day, or just a fancy paperweight

insurance swap maybe?

if you are refering to upgrading to a newer version of WM, then look thru the numerous threads about that. It will happen for some, but it is carrier dependant on who and when.

updating the firmware goto Moto's web site and it will tell you if you have the latest.

Don't know if you were directing that towards me, but I meant, didn't someone just ask for help for this EXACT message a few days ago ????
