Need Help Program Files | Move from Phone to Storage Card

I had been browsing these forum pages and have noted that many users install programs on the storage card as opposed to on the phone.

My questions:
  1. Can ALL programs/apps/software be installed on the storage card?
  2. I have a number of programs/apps/software installed on the phone. What is an easy way to move all these to the storage card without any disruption?

Offered for what it may be worth ...

I originally installed Yahoo!Go on the storage card and it worked fine that first day but failed to do so on subsequent tries. Eventually, I uninstalled and reinstalled on the device as had been recommended by the installer. As a new user, I have to hope all installers warn you, in some way, if device installation is preferred.

YMMV

most do
well smaller developers do
they will say we recommend it on the device or support troubleshooting with apps installed on the device

all my apps are on the SD card (including yahoo!go) without issue

I read somewhere that, a good rule of thumb is if an app needs to open at start up (i.e. in your start up folder), it should be installed in the device. This is because the device may have problems accessing the sd card when booting up. Can anyone confirm this?
