Default Problem editing contacts

For some reason I cannot edit certain contacts on my Q9h. I encounter this issue in both the default contacts application and Photo Contacts Pro.
So far it seems that the affected contacts are all on the phone.. but there are other contacts on the phone that I can edit.

Any ideas????

Hm, that sounds odd. What happens when you try to edit them ???? Do you get an error message or something ????

I know that in my experiences, when you edit a contact in a certain way, you sometimes lose your "file as" name that you set up in Outlook. For example, my rommmate, lets call him, Jose Pena, has the file as name, "Rolando" I set up in Outlook. Now, sometimes, when editing his contact info on my phone, when I save, it will now display the name as, Jose Pena, or Pena, Jose. Weird.

Nothing happens...I click on 'Done' and nothing happens.
On the contacts that aren't problematic, when I click on 'Done' it goes back to the contact list and I can see the changes.
My phone is not synced to Outlook or any desktop email.
Bizarre.

That is a bit odd. Especially not being synced. Maybe your contact database has gone corrupt or something. Or maybe try a Master Reset ????

A Master Reset on the Q9h isn't really that bad. All it does is reset all your setttings, like phone preferences, homescreens, anything that falls under System Tools>Settings basically. Doesn't delete any personal info, nor does it reset your programs settings. Hell, it doesn't even delete your Poutlook stuff. Surprisingly though, it fixes a lot of weird issues.

are you talking about resetting defaults? a master reset on a Q9C wipes everything.

Yeah, a Master Reset is different on the Q9c and the Q Global. It pretty much resets defaults. A Master Reset for you is a Master Clear for us.

You can read about it here, I explained it in detail.

Problem solved....
It was affecting the contacts I had copied to the phone and not those on the SIM. So I fired up Jeyo Mobile Companion, deleted all the contacts from the phone and recopied them from the SIM. Process took under five minutes and the phone contacts are now editable(is that even a word?).
The beauty was Photo Contacts Pro reapplied the contact photos without any action on my part. But I still have to reapply the ring tones.

Thanks to all who advised.. sometimes the simplest solutions are the best...

Off base question... do you have a separate contact/photo for someone's cell phone and their home phone or do you have all numbers under one contact?? I find myself making separate contacts for each number with it's own individual photo and ringtone.
I think I will keep that format only for a select few people and merge the others.
