The beauty was Photo Contacts Pro reapplied the contact photos without any action on my part. But I still have to reapply the ring tones.

Thanks to all who advised.. sometimes the simplest solutions are the best...

Off base question... do you have a separate contact/photo for someone's cell phone and their home phone or do you have all numbers under one contact?? I find myself making separate contacts for each number with it's own individual photo and ringtone.
I think I will keep that format only for a select few people and merge the others.
That happens only when you save contacts to the SIM. It doesn't save multiple numbers under the same person, it can't. So it saves the same name, however many times you have numbers for it, and just saves the various numbers. You can either fix this in Jeyo, Outlook, or on the phone itself.

I know... what I meant was I will make a contact for bob home, bob cell, bob work, and have ringtones and contact photos for each of them. I was wondering if anyone else did this or if they just had a contact for Bob and had all the numbers under that one contact.
For the sake of neatness I am going to start consolidating contacts/numbers except for my GF and a couple close friends. It helps to know from the ringtone if they are calling from home or from cell.

Well, if you use PCP or even the standard contacts book, it tells you what they're calling from, so no need to worry. You can consolidate all of it and you'll know.

Thats how I assumed EVERYONE did it. The old Moto's, like the original V3, you COULDN'T save multiple numbers under the same contact, you had to do it as how you're doing it.

No offense, but the way you're doing it is a BIG waste of time. When you consolidate and use ANY app, whether native or a 3rd party, you have the ability to save multiple #'s and it will discern between them and display which one its calling from, so you know.

I believe thats what you're asking and you want the phone to do right ????

Funny you should mention the V3 as that was my former phone and my current method of creating contacts is a hold over from those days.
I know the capabilities of the Q as far as contact management, it's just that I find myself reverting to old habits. Plus I like having a seperate ring tone and photo for when my GF calls from her home, work, or cell.
I just wanted to know if there were others who shared this little weirdness.

Ah, yea, thats actually kinda cool. A certain ringtone for work, and then more of a "party" one when shes calling from her cell. Clever. Ja ja.

Not me. usually everyone has their own ringtones, so I know who it is when it rings.
