Problem charging my Q9H using USB cable

Hi all,

I have no problem charging my Q9h via the craddle, or the data sync cable (while the Q9h is activesync connected to my laptop), but I have problems charging using the same data sync cable in the following scenario

1. Using my car charger which basically plugs it to a cig socket, while charging device using any a USB cable. I have no problem with this charger in all my previous PDA phones (all the iPAQs, Dopod C730, Palm Treo 500) which uses either USB to mini-USB or USB to propietory connectors cable. But It just doesn't work on my Q9h.

2. Using my laptop to charge the phone while my laptop is turned off. I have an 'active USB port' in my laptop, that can charge devices even though my laptop is switched off. Again, I have no problem with my previous devices except Q9h. In fact, it'll only start charging when there's an activesync connection established.

Something is wrong with Q9h right? or is it just my unit?

3 car chargers and 2 different Q's.. no workey together. Kinda hit and miss with them(for me anyways).

Not sure about the laptop charging, you can loan me yours and I will fiure it out......someday j/k

oh dear, sounds like this is a 'feature' of Q9h then.

i am not sure if my luck will be bettter. My wife's Razr V9 has the same problem (can't charge using the generic usb car charger) and I wonder if its all due to the micro USB.
