| The option that I posted is NOT only for during setup of a partnership, you can modify this anytime afterwards too. You can also choose in addition to what you sync, how much of it you want to sync as well.
Under the mail you can choose which folders, how big of an attachment, how much each message, under calendar you can choose all or how much of it, under contacts you don't get any choice, tasks again you can choose all or hot much of it and so on with the files and onenote and so on.
Under options of the sync, you also get to choose how it behaves, as posted earlier and what where and how much of this and that when it comes to pictures and media. Anyway, that's the one thing about Vista I really like, the WMDC

| Sync issue... I am wondering about this issue also. Does the "overwrite items on device" only have to do with conflicts? I dont think so.
I put a test item on my handheld & sync'd. The item disappeared on the handheld. There was no conflict there per se, just a new item.
I'd like to get a sync going where if i put new items in on my desktop and put new items in on my handheld, it will update both so both places have the items. Not one completely take precedence over the other.
Is this a setting i can tweak?
Or am I, likely, missing something right in front of my nose...

No it doesn't apply just to conflicts, at least I don't think it does.
By default it should sync both items, whether entered from the phone or the pc. |

I would uninstall all active sync programs, etc. and start from scratch. |

That sucks if Activesync doesn't do that. Ideally, it should prompt you, or something. |

It was pretty cool software. I believe it gave you the option to prompt, no ???? |

A ton of options, but you always had to initiate a hotsync. Plus it was written in like 1997 and hasn't changed. |
