FYI, Windows Live Search (free) does do turn by turn directions with real-time re-routing. It does not give you voice commands to turn, but it does beep at you. It does, though, make use of your data connection for mapping data.

How did you move Garmin onto an 8GB card? I thought you had to use the card that came with it, which in my case, would mean not enough room for other stuff.
