Default New Bluetooth problem

I am new to this board and am hoping someone can help me. I have been using a Plantronics 510 bluetooth headset with my Q and have had no problems. Now when I use it I can hear the headset connect. I can hear keypad tones. Everything seems fine except I cannot hear the person I am connected to. The phone shows I am connected the headset beeps like it is connected but there is no voice comunication. The phone works fine without the headseat. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Try restarting the phone. If that doesn't work, delete the pairing and re-pair the device.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that. I have removed the battery. I have deleted the pairing and repaired it and still have the same problem.

Hmm....the next thing I'd suggest is a master reset to reset the settings on your phone. It won't delete your files or contacts or anything, but it will change all your settings. Either that, or try warranting out your Bluetooth headset.

I am having the exact same problem, with the same headset. I'd be interested in knowing if the master reset worked. I can voice dial through my headset, so I know the mic works, I can hear ringing, but as soon as a connection is established with the number I'm calling, the headset no longer works and I have to turn handsfree off to continue the call.

Will a master reset undo my registry hacks?

Well, I was impatient and couldn't wait for an answer. This worked perfectly, thank you!

No problem. And no, a Master Reset with a Q Global (AT&T's Q9h) will NOT undo any registry hacks. I tried it once to undo some hacks, and it didn't help.

Glad it worked for you.

I sync my contacts daily, so I don't honestly know if they were erased or not, since I synced after the reset.
