Default My Q9h stops making phone calls

Hi everyone, I'm new to the whole Motorola Q thing, so please bear with me. I just got my Q about 3 weeks ago, I found this website and got some great information about taking the ring tone limit out of my phone. For some reason when I listen to my music on my phone, and say I want to make a phone call, I go to my contacts and when I choose the one I want to call, my phone doesn't call that person at all. I have all the reception bars in the display, I press call, and it doesn't call anyone. I have to power off and power on my phone in order for it to call someone. Is this common or is it just occurring to me?

That sounds a bit odd. Have you tried calling AT&T on the issue ????

They also have a live chat tech support.

I think it has to do with the fact that I work in a freezer, but my Q is well protected in my pocket under my freezer suit.

Default Should a Hard Reset solve this problem?

Now my phone doesn't show me anything when I go to the start menu. Basically shows me a blank page for the start menu. I've taken out the battery plenty of times and the same thing happens. Should I do a hard reset? And if so, how do you do it?

A hard reset involves you taking the battery out with the phone still on. This clears most temporary settings that can be causing problems for your phone. It doesn't delete anything though, so don't be afraid to use it.

If you're still in your 1st 30 days, they'll replace it without arguing with you too much. Sounds like that might be the easiest thing to do...

Default Problem Solved, For Now Atleast

Thanks to all that helped, I did a hard reset and I started from scratch. I think that originally, when I installed the PHM Registry, I started erasing files that I wasn't supposed to, and that might've contributed to the phone going crazy on me. The hard reset that I did was on the manual, it involved pressing * button with E button while turning the phone on. It erased everything that I downloaded on the phone, but not on my SD card. Since I only had this phone for about 3 weeks, I didn't mind re-entering my contacts and installing the PHM Registry. This time I moved that information to my memory card.
