If you have the actual service hooked up through AT&T (you have to request Blackberry Connect on the Q9h through Customer Service or add it through the website), a simple call to to data support can get you set up. It takes less than 10 mins total, and they are actually quite helpful. Of course this only applies if you have AT&T.

If you are going to call, call from a phone other than your cell, so they can help you much more easily.

I don't mean to brush you off at all, these are the kinds of questions that I would have called Customer Support for if you were my customer, and they'd help us both out, and we'd all be happy

Thanks for the response. I'm really just interested to find out how the device has been working for people who have configured the Q9 for Blackberry service. Have you done this? Does it work seamlessly like a true blackberry device? Thanks,

I figured. Sorry. I thought of that after I posted, and I was too lazy to edit the post....

I haven't used it, but I know for sure its officially supported by AT&T, so I would assume its running fine. Sorry I can't be of more help.

you would need Blackberry Connect software for a start, and if that's configured properly, it should work just like a Blackberry device (based on what I have heard from folks who had setup their WM5/6 devices with BB connect)

the question is whether BB connect is available for Q9h, as most of the times, it is bundled through the OEM, rather than a standard MS application. Unless you can get it from Motorola, or from Blackberry/AT&T website, otherwise it's as good as no BB support.

What is the benefit of Blackberry Connect over using the Outlook Mail that built into the Q Global going to a POP3 account that you would sync with Blackberry?

a fairer comparison is Blackberry Connect vs Microsoft Exchange Activesync, since both offers pushmail, whereas the latter is just a normal pop email access, which access your email based on an interval period.

As to whether which push mail is better, it's like asking whether MS or Palm OS is better. The question should be, what's the backbone of your office/personal email infrastructure.

that said, one benefit of Blackberry Connect over Microsoft Pushmail, is the former's ability to connect to multiple pushmail account.
