Default Mini USB to Micro USB Adaptor

Has anyone had any luck using the adaptor on a mini USB power supply like a car charger? I can't get it to work. I hate the idea that I'm going to have to buy all new accessories.

it doesn't work for me, even if I use the micro-USB cable (w/o any adaptation) it won't work because I believe the power output from the generic car charger is too low to 'tickle' Q9h to charge. It happens for car charger, it also happens on my powered USB hub port. It is certainly not the cable issue, because the moment I turn on my PC (where the powered USB hub port is connected), the same cable is charging my Q9h.

I am exploring some workaround using P790, will let you know if it works.

Interesting. I got an i-go tip for the i-go car charger and that works. But with my old mini USB charger and the adapter, it doesn't.

It works great for me and it should for everyone. I believe miniUSB and microUSB use the same amount of pins. The only difference is the size of the plug. If anything the Q is probably particular at what kind of charger it accepts. I am using Belkin miniUSB car chargers and I'm using the miniUSB to microUSB adapter that came with my phone and it works fine.

Same with me, no problemos. In fact I bought a couple extra adapters for my other accessories. Make sure you get genuine Moto stuff, 90% of the "genuine" stuff on ebay is fake.

I'll have to try it on more adapters and see if some of them work. The first couple I tried, including a few at the AT&T store, didn't work.

is this i-go car charger specially designed for moto Q? because I find most if not all generic car charger (with mini-USB tip) doesn't work with moto.

It doesn't specifically have the Q Global listed on the box, but it says it works with phones that use micro USB chargers...and it does work.

come to think of it, it could be the USB extension cable (extending from my car charger that's hidden in the console) I have that's culprit, as I understand some USB cables has power limitation.

still I couldn't have my Moto Q9h (or Razar V9) charged through a powered port in my laptop (while the OS is not turned on, only with the power turned on), so I suspect Moto Q9h has a stringent power input requirement before it will tinkle the charging fucntion.
