Default McAfee VirusScan batterysucker

I have removed MAVS and noticed that the battery life is much improved from 16-18 hours to 36 hours with the same usage. I wonder if we really need an antivirus scan since I have never heard about a virus for Windows mobile...any suggestion about this?
Thanks

I think the same. I love the phone, the speakers and the keyboard are just fantastic. The battery life sucks though but now that the McAfee VS is not sucking the battery anymore I think I have the perfect phone!

I did a search and I found out it is only installed if I opted to do so by clicking on it? Did I understand correctly? If so, then I don't have anything to worry about.

THe antivirus is not installed oringinally. There is a link to the cab in the menu the first time that you turn on the phone. You can choose to not install it but if you have already and want to remove it you can go to settings>remove programs.

I am using it with emails checked every 2 hours, a couple of hours of web surfing, 45 minutes of calls and 15-20 text. I managed to get 16-18 hours whit a standard BT60, after I removed McAfee I'm getting 36 hours (I couldn't believe it!). Do you have McAfee running? I think it's a real batterysucker!
