Locks up when charging

So I plug my brand-new Moto Q global into the wall charger. The blue light blinks to indicate charging. I unplug the phone and the blue light still blinks and the screen won't come on. The only way to get the phone to work is to remove the battery and reboot it. This has happened several times.

Any advice / feedback is most appreciated.

kinda smells like a hardware issue.. did you install any apps yet that could cause issues ?

I dunno... but sounds to me like you should just swap it for a new one.

Shouldn't be doing that at all. Maybe you wanna try doing a master reset/clear - hard reset - and see if it still does it. But IMHO, I would swap it out.

thanks. trying to live chat with AT&T support now to resolve these issues. I agree I shouldn't be having them. The only program I added to my device is Tetris.
