Default Keypad

I was wondering if the keypad on the Q was noisey. I was looking at a display model and the bittons made a clicking sound when pressed. The salesman said the unit was a display model and that was why. The clicks were pretty loud. Thanks.

It does make a light clicking sound, but nothing obtrusive.

It's quieter than a pc keyboard. It sounds like any other phone keypad.

You can change the sounds by the settings. it can click, be silent or make a different sound.

if you are referring to the display set as the dummy unit, then there's some difference in the build & material quality, so that could explain the differences. For a start, the keypads in the dummy unit are made of 'cheap plastic' while the real ones are made with some rubbery finishing material.

My Q9h keypad doesn't make any noticable clicking noise ('loud' enough for you to 'feel' that you have made a keypress, but not audible for you to realise there's a noise coming out like a PC keyboard)

If it's a real display (i.e. working one) set, perhaps the key tone is enabled, you can disable it in the setting menu.
