Favorite In call beep each minute - and email on Storage Card

I'm moving from a dying Cingular 8125 to the Q9h. So far, so good.

1. Last night - I got to some screen to have an audible tone every minute I'm on a call. After a few calls, that was a bad choice. I CAN'T find where that choice was.

2. Read many internet emails around moving Pocket Outlook to save messages/attachments to the storage card. Made the two string HKLM entries and rebooted. I am not seeing any files/directories on the card; so suspect it's not working. Does anyone have a solid cheatsheet that'll make it work? Willing, if need be, to blow away email and resynch from Exchange server.

Appreciate the help and glad to have found a Q9h forum.

For #1,

Settings > 2. Sounds > go all the way down to "Minute Beep:"

For #2.

I forward emails to a Gmail account. I use gmail settings on the Q (that work for me) for notification and I have set up my PC's Outlook config to IMAP.

I can always login to gmail through Google to see emails that I have not deleted, i.e., those that are saved. I know it requires net login, but I'm not 'cluttering' my device with stuff that's already stored in cyberspace.

Follow these instructions, it worked beautifully for me!

01
Using the file manager in activesync, create the following folders on your Storage Card.
\MAPI
\MAPI\ATTACHMENTS
You can actually name them whatever you want, "Inbox" or "Email" for example.
02
Now browse to \Windows\Messaging (SmartPhone) or \Windows\MAPI (PocketPC)
If you want to save all of your existing mail, move everything in this directory to the new ones on your Storage Card.
03
Now fire up your registry editor and navigate to the following.
For WM5 Phones: [ HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MAPI ]
For WM6 Phones: [ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Settings ]
Then create the following STRING VALUES.
Name: AttachPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI\Attachments (this should match whatever you named YOUR folder)

Name: PropertyPath
String: \Storage Card\MAPI(this should match whatever you named YOUR folder)
04
Reboot your phone and then goto your inbox. If you can see all of your mail then mission accomplished. Double check your attachments as well.
