Default How to send MMS?

I took a picture and wanted to send it to someone via MMS. However, when I select a contact, it adds the name of the contact in text, in addition to the numbers. How can I prevent that? I think the MMS "To:" field only allows numbers.

If I send it to a number manually... I would get an error message that it did not get sent.

What am I doing wrong?

Who's your carrier?
Only verizon and att & hacked Sprint after a call to Sprint to enable it are the only ones that are capable of MMS.
There is also Sprint mail, I don't have the details but a search should bring up some useful threads.

Nothing actually. I've seen that too. People with nicknames will put 2 quotation marks and it will take it as 2 different numbers. Its a MS error, not a carrier issue. Actually, its the maker of the MMS program.
