| How to install software?! Hi everyone,
I've downloaded the software "tcpmp.smartphone.0.72rc1". I have extracted it in my pc. Many files appeared...what do I do to install it in my smartphone?
After this will my device run divx files? If so, wich program do u recomend I should use to convert to the right video size (I believe it is 320x260).
Thank you all
PS - Why the wmv files go slow on the smartphone, like slow motion? |

it is a cab file more than likely.
copy it to your phone via drag and drop, then click on it to begin the installation. |

PS - Why the wmv files go slow on the smartphone, like slow motion? | As said, cab files release for mobiles are designed to run on the device itself and when executed there it will launch an install. Extracting them will do you no good on the desktop. If its an exe file, then if it is properly formatted, it will install an inf file in the mobile sync directory and when you connect your device, it will launch the setup and guide you through it. In the future though, as tony said, do a search and it will come up answered and probably more detailed. Good luck.

my email is luki5@hotmail.com | Pocket PC software is for (dub) a Pocket PC and the chance is small to none that it will work on a Smartphone even if you could install it.

my email is luki5@hotmail.com | Some software are designed for specific versions of windows mobile and although some are backwards compatible or even forward in some cases that don't make a difference, some are very specific. The difference in your windows mobile version (ie. WM5, WM6), the difference in your edition of the same version (ie. Standard, Pro), the difference in display color depth, orientation and input type (Portrait v. Landscape, Push button (ie. Q9h) v. touch screen (ie. iPAQ 6515) and sometimes even how much memory you have or what processor your device is running.
I have encountered developers that unfortunately just put "Compatible with WM5, WM6) and then you install and find out you are the exception of the WM6 that is supported. Sometimes its hit and miss, other times some digging might give you the answer before getting there. In some cases you can even install just fine but it won't run or it will behave very badly when run later.
