How to assign a ring tone to a certain number? - Motorola Q Forum

Can anyone help me with this. I am looking to assign diffrent song ring tones to diffrent phone numbers in my Moto Q 9h

edit your contact and there is an option to pick a tone for the contact about half way down the screen

Ok I see why I can not edit my contacts it is b/c my numbers on stored on my sim card. That is why I can not assign a song ring tone to a phone number. Can you help me figure out how to store the number to my phone.
This is only my second day I have had this new phone

Sorry I hope I am not being a pest. But I am new that this. Now this link you gave me to download. Do I download from my phone or computer and then put it to the phone.

you can go either way
whatever you are comfortable with

if you have a data plan on the Q then you can go right from the phone

Yeah, I grew up in Baton Rouge, LA, but moved to Memphis, TN (now right outside Memphis) after college. There are a few fans up here so it isn't too bad.

and if later you want to take it a step further and have the same ringtone for a contact also their own text tone or email tone check out InboxTones!
