Mine did not work with the built in GPS. I believe no one has gotten it to work. I will try again right now.

Got it to work. First try:

Heres what it should look like. I have attached a file.

Use GPSID utility to set a software COM port so apps like GPS'ed can "see" the GPS.

What settings did you use in GPSID to get it to work? I have a Q9C...

I used COM port 1 for software. Hardware port set to none. Baud rate at max (115K)

This does not seem too different from the application that has been available at www.trackr.eu. Although Trackr does support the internal GPS driver so no need to use the utility to copy the port over. Trackr will allow you to either save the track log on the phone for later upload or to load your position "live" to thier server. With Trackr you can give other people a PIN number and they can track your location from any PC - but only when you give them the PIN. You can also view your location right on the phone as well and via the website export your tracks into Google Earth.

I've used it when biking and hiking to then later see exactly where I went and how fast I was going. It is a pretty cool application and if you are paranoid, just do not start it up - simple as that.

Just FYI - I do not work for them, I just helped the developer trouble shoot the internal GPS driver a few months back.

Oh and it is free ;-)

Yeah I've used both. Didn't really notice the difference.
