No arrows, but it does outline your route in a different color so you can see what you are doing. It also allows you to use a satellite view so you can get a visual of your surroundings, freeways, buildings, offramps, etc. You can also add a traffic overlay which uses green yellow red and black to show traffic conditions on major roadways.

The map scrolls but does not rotate. Since the maps download as you drive, you may lose maps when you get out of cell coverage, but the gps will still continue to track. Maps will come back on when you are back in coverage.

One advantage Gmaps has over WLS is in the Contacts sub-menu "Locate in Google Maps.."

I am unable to download WLS from the Microsoft website(s), it just redirects to the same information page about WLS or says:

Never mind, I had to switch my browser settings to "Identify as Handheld Device" as appose to "Identify as Desktop Computer". Apparently MS do not want anyone on a PC downloading the software.

Default GPS on Moto Q?

I have a moto q, not moto q9 or q9c. I can never get satellites to lock in my physical location. It always says cannot use satellites or gps failed or something of the sort. I believed that moto q does not have the gps chipset. I do have google maps and live search but the gps never moves along with me when I am driving. In other words, the gps functionality on my moto q does not work. Is there anything that I can do to fix it?
