Default Getting "error sychonizing" when setting up email on new phone

Just got my new Qh Global and was so excited. But I'm having a terrible time setting up email.

I set up a gmail account just for this phone. Followed the directions in the manual (and double checked it against the instructions on this site) and when I try to check email using "Send/recieve" I get "Error Sychonizing" and then "COnnection Error" "The remote party has ended this connection."

HELP!!! What am I doing wrong?

Ok, Just tried using the browser. Getting error message that I need to check my connection settings.

I signed up for the Media Max Unlimited data package and att website says the feature is active. So, wonder why I cannot connect?

Have you tried restarting your phone after AT&T turned on your internet access?

Ok, it was the SIM card. I can connect now, but cannot figure out how to transfer my contacts from my old sim card to this one.

The directions they give for this on att are not correct.

On the Moto Q Global there is NOT a "copy to SIM" or "copy to device" choice on the contacts menu screen.

Any ideas???

Search the Q9h board for NUMEROUS SIM card copying apps.

Theres also an apps master list that Tony bag o' donuts was kind enough to put together, complete with links. Its a sticky in the software part of this forum. Check it out.

Ok, I cheated. I had my old phone save all it's contacts to the phone. Then I put the new sim card from the MOTO Q into my old phone and had it copy all the contacts to the new sim card. Then put the new sim card into my Moto Q and all the contacts were there!

Now, I'm playing with features. Got my email account set up.

Now, trying to figure out how to group contacts so that different groups have a different ring tone. I hope that's possible, as I have some contacts that I always answer and some that I can ignore at times.
