Default Exchange Question

I have the Q9h and just set up my email account from work on it yesterday. We use a MS Exchange server here at work so they IT guys entered the server name and I entered my user name and password... Anyway, now when I get an email, it of course hits both the phone and my office laptop, but it hits the phone minutes before the laptop. I have read to save on power I can set the account to only look for mail every so many minutes but when I go to Menu while this email acct is highlighted, I do not get the option. Anyone else able to set the time? I want to make sure I am not continuosly searching the air for email.

Also, I would love to have the Q not receive emails if I am logged in to my email at work. A co-worker has a Blackberry and if she is logged in via her PC or laptop. IS there any way to do this with the Q9h?

on your device look for activesync. in activesync selct menu - schedule. there you can select when you want it to check for mail. "as items arrive" works best as this wil only sync items as they have changed. you can also set peak times which are times during the day that you would like to check for mail. additionally if your device is plugged into your pc at work then it will use your LAN to check for mail & not wireless data (therefore it won't cost you anything). hope this helps.
