Default ease my mind...

i have searched and looked and read and searched again and now it's driving me crazy!

What the heck is that little thing on the front my q9h, about an inch to the right of the 'M', just above the screen??? Almost looks like a small camera lens.

I can't find anything about it in the user manual or anywhere else. Someone please help.

That is the sensor for the auto brightness feature.

You can turn this feature off through "settings".

Yep, that's it. If you disable, you'll have the bright screen even in low light situations. You can also change the brightness as well. But remember, the brighter the screen, the more battery it will use.

Yeah it's called an "ambient light sensor". They are made by companies like Avago and Osram. They sense the amount of ambient light and then that data can be used to adjust the backlight. This feature is becoming popular on battery powered devices to improve battery live. My Dell laptop have the same feature.

Ok,

I can disable and enable the smart backlight feature -- but I don't see any adjustment options... Am I missing something, or is it s simple on or off -- with no adjustable settings for brightness?

Thanks,

Matt!
