Default Deleting Windows Live Email Account

How do I delete a Windows Live email account? The user's guide says to the email account and press Menu > Delete; however, Delete is grayed for the Windows Live account.

I want to remove it as I keep finding it running in the Task Manager even when I haven't started it and there is no way to set it for Manual onlt download.

The best way to delete the account is to open WLMLauncher.exe in the \Windows folder. When that program launches, press the "menu" softkey then choose 2. Account Options. From there choose to switch account and when you get to the setup screen, reject the license agreement. After you do that the program should exit and your email account will be removed from the phone.

PS: You can also use the Windows Live plugin if you have it on your home screen to get to the account options area. If you use file manager to access the \Windows folder, you may need to change the properties of file manager to be able to see hidden and system files (note, file manager can take a LONG time once you click on the \Windows folder to show the contents as there are quite a few files in there!

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the quick response. Can you tell me how to get to the properties for the File Manager as I do not see the WLMLauncher.exe so I assume it is hidden. I don't have the WL plugin on my home screen and I'm not sure how to get to it.

Sure! When you open File Manager, click on the Menu softkey then choose 6. Options. From there uncheck the bottom two selections of "Hide Hidden Files" and "Hide System files". Click done and you should be all set
