Custom Ringtones Made Easy

ok im eche im new to everthingq.com but im pretty experiencd with the subject of smartfones. anyway i have a new method to make your own ringtone especially if you want that one part of the song that you like. you'll need a program called Cool Edit Pro (Now Called Adobe Audition [i haave CEP if you want it post a private message and ill email it to you after im given you email address]) you just open the file, select the part of the song you want (beginning of the part to the nd of the part) , trim it, sav eit in the format you want. then sync you smartphone to the comp. and finito you're DONNE!!!

Welcome to the EQ forum.
Audacity does the same thing and it's free. No messaging and "outing" of email addresses necessary.

and theres vito ringtone editor where you can cut and trim your mp3s into ringtones right on your phone

Audacity is alright and many find it great and so did I until it started corrupting audio drivers and only seems to work best with XP. Cheers.

Power mp3 Cutter Professional and Classic (they come bundled) work just fine as well, and its shareware, so while its limited to 30 secs, thats more than enough for any ringtone.

Professional is just like Audacity, and Classic is MUCH simpler. It has a sliding bar that represents the songs location. You just click a button to mark a start point, and click the end button right next to it to mark the end point. Then, hit play to review it, and another button to download it, at which you can select file type, bit rate, etc. Very easy. I use it all the time.

Nope. It specially went ape sh** when upgraded to Vista on my friend's machine and it totally destroyed it. He had to go back to clean install XP to use it and he was seriously bummed. Also note, it has been a while, they may have improved the problem in the meantime.

soorry guyz its been while since i replied to this forum, and unfourtunately i have come beraing bad news: AUDACITY JSUT DOESNT CUT IT FOR ME. the interface lloks cheap and the editing and selection choices just do amaze be. Cool Edit Pro is the best thing for me. sry
