my contact list is gone! only the numbers saved to my sim card when i switched phones are still there. what happened?

Couple of reasons. Primary one is probably that you have your contacts overwritten on the phone, and you didn't have any on your PC.

Does that sound right ????

have you deleted any files recently? hopefuly you used resco to do it. If so check the recycle bin for a file called pim.vol and select to resore
