can't search Company Directory

Dear Everyone,

When I am using Exchange email and I try to search for a name to put in the To: box, if I press the action button, then chose Company Directory, I am given the option to enter in a name. I keep getting an error message, "Info: The search could not be completed. Please try again later." Anyone know how to solve this?

It is interesting that on my previous smartphone, I was able to search the company directory over the air fine for 2 years, then one day I got a similar error message. Customer support asked me to delete the Exchange relationship then reestablish the relationship, but that didn't help.

Dear Everyone,

I'm about to give up on searching the Company Directory. At least I can get the names from the corporate website, though this takes a lot more work. I have entered a short list of names that I have used to try to search in the Company Directory. There appears to be no way of clearing this list. Does anyone know how to clear this list? Thanks!

Dear Everyone,

I am still unable to search the company directory. Interestingly, when I synced to my PC with the USB cable, I got error code 85020006. This directed me disconnect and to go to my Q9h and go to start>settings>connections>Domain Enroll. This application states that enrolling the handset in a domain will connect your device with company resources. However, when I tried to enroll using my username and server name I got the error message, "Unable to enroll this device in the company domain. Contact the system administrator for assistance." Does anybody know how to solve this? I will ask my IT people.

My IT people recently changed the server name, and the old name still had limited functionality. Once I entered the new server name, the smartphone allowed me to search the company directory.

However, I still can't delete names from the list that accrues when you enter a name in the space, when you search the company directory. Anyone know how to clear this list?

You can't, this list is generated by your exchange server and you do not have access to change it.

If you want a shorter list, use more specific search criterea.

Thank you for your message. Unfortunately I didn't make myself clear. What I am refering to is the history of searches that appears when you begin to input the name for which you want to search. For example, the first time I perform the search in the company directory, there is a blank box and no names beneath the box, and I enter, "smith" in this box. The Exchange server finds "smith". The second time I perform a search in the company directory, the blank box is there, and beneath the box appears "smith". Say that this time I want to search for "jones", so I enter "jones" in the box. The Exchange server finds "jones". The third time I perform a search in the company directory, beneath the blank box are "smith" and "jones", and so forth. It is this list of history of previous searches, containing "smith" and "jones" that I would like to delete, but I find no option that deletes this list. This list just keeps growing with each name that I search for in the company directory. Does anyone know how to get rid of this list? Soft resets don't affect this list. Thanks.
