Can't answer while texting!

Hey guys-

Does anybody else have this problem- It seems that when I'm in the middle of writing a message (specifically text- don't know about email) and I receive a call, I am unable to accept that call. I get the soft key options of "Answer" or "Ignore", but when I click "answer" it only silences the ringtone, and does not actually answer the call! I am able, in fact, to click "answer" multiple times, but it never performs any action.

This is very frustrating since each time this has happened, I am texting the person who is now returning my call that they just missed (I usually text rather than leave a voice message). Back-and-forth phone tag is terrible.


*UPDATE* just ran a test using my home phone, and I didn't seem to have the same problem, which is really odd since this has happened to me enough that I assumed it was no coincidence. Is there possibly a key I am hitting as I type that renders the soft keys useless?
