this used to happen to me if i was on a realllllly long phone call (damn you long distance relationship), id hear a really annoying buzz if we were both silent..i'd have to restart my phone and call back.. then it went away

Just recieved a second phone (for my wife). It makes a terrible buzzing sound when keyboard lights are on - and I can hear it when I call her. It is really loud. My phone is making it as well, but it's unnoticeable.

Update: found a reason of the sound! You will not believe me - it's a black silicon case (mine was gray). Removed phone from the case - no sound, putted back to the case - buzzzz!

I noticed this too. Have you tried video recording in a dark environment? The audio captured is primarily the buzzing from the keypad.
